Walk for Peace - Saturday November 14th 8:00 am

The Walk for Peace originally began in 2003, where the vision was for the students and families of Wilton Manors Elementary, along with all the people in the city of Wilton Manors, FL to become aware of and rally around the 12 Attitudes that help us to become more tolerant of individuals and their various differences; thus leading towards a more peaceful community and world.  The Walk for Peace has now gone beyond the city of Wilton Manors, and the students of Wilton Manors Elementary, to encompass individuals and families from all over South Florida who are committed to the 12 Attitudes, and the ideas of tolerance and peace.  By gathering as a community to celebrate all off of the 12 Attitudes it helps our children to understand how important and valued the Attitudes are by everyone in the community, and how they can become the fabric of a peaceful community/world.   We envision a day when all children grow up to be thoughtful, productive, committed and engaged citizens who will contribute back to their local and global communities and promote peace.
