The Domino Effect in Business

When we view a domino construction, it can be easy to imagine gently tipping one piece and watching all of them tumble in an almost-synchronized cascade. This phenomenon, known as the Domino Effect, can be applied in numerous circumstances in life; but is especially powerful when applied to business situations as the principle can help achieve various goals like increasing revenue or recruiting new staff while creating an environment which promotes employee happiness and engagement.

Dominos (also referred to as bones, cards, men, pieces or tiles) are rectangular blocks made of wood, bone or plastic used for playing a variety of board games. They feature an indentation down their center that visually divides it into two equal squares with markings called pips that represent values between six and zero or blank or zero; typically double six and double nine sets are most frequently seen being used in casual games but larger sets exist for more advanced game play.

Each domino can have an enormous effect, provided you select the appropriate ones. Successful dominoes should contribute towards an overarching goal and help bring it about; at the same time, they should be challenging enough that it requires effort but manageable in terms of time needed to invest. It is therefore imperative that we prioritize goals that have the greatest possible positive effect for our future – not necessarily those that seem easy.

As a writer, whether or not you use the Domino Effect as a framework, it is important to think critically about how each scene of your novel connects. For instance, if you write without an outline in advance and prefer pantsing over outlining, scenes that have too far between or no obvious connection may end up too far apart or have no effect on those before or after.

Avoid making these errors by treating each scene like dominoes that need to be knocked over, building an engaging story and compelling readers to continue reading.

This process requires some experimentation in order to find dominoes of suitable size and shape for the desired outcome. You might need to build additional structures to support your main character, or change your narrative arc accordingly; make these adjustments early and often for optimal success! After this point, watch as your book becomes an amazing chain reaction of success – perhaps hiring an editor can assist in selecting dominoes with positive effects on its success as a whole!
